Sunil Chhetri is an Indian professional footballer who represents India at the international level. Theformercaptain of India national football team , he is regarded as the most popular footballer and best striker of India. [1] He is India’s all-time top international goalscorer as well as the most-capped player, [ citation needed ] with 54 goals in 94 official international matches. He is referred to as “goal machine” by Indian media. [2]
