Loss Adjuster Liability

My client is looking to recruit a Loss Adjuster to investigate, validate and negotiate settlement of Liability insurance claims on behalf of their clients, in a pro-active professional manner, taking account of applicable service standards, client requirements, policy cover and relevant case law and statute.

Duties:

• Handle all new claims adhering to the organisation’s and clients service levels
• Investigate, gather information and determine cause and circumstances of the incident completing all appropriate paperwork in accordance with the organisation’s standards
• Achieve conclusion of the claim in a proactive and timely fashion in accordance with the organisation and client service standards
• Achieve all agreed financial, service and quality targets as agreed with line manager
• Apply general principles and practice of insurance to ensure technical accuracy is achieved on all claims
• Comply with the clients’ specific instructions, processes and protocols
• Identify and comment upon appropriate risk management improvements where necessary
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation such as Health & Safety, FSA requirements; understand and apply relevant case law and statute to cases
• Maintain regular communication with all relevant parties to provide updates on progress of the claim in accordance with the organisation and client service standards and procedures
• Report to instructing client on legal liability and quantum in accordance with service standards and company procedures
• Assist in the handling of any claim file
• Identify and maximise opportunities to gain new business through cross claims handling and development of Client contracts
